I Just Got a New Camera: Now What? – Part 1 (Technical)

Learning how to work your new camera properly can make all the difference in the world. Let’s have fun taking great pictures, and take the fear out of working the camera and looking things up in the manual. This beginning workshop, also open to teens, will cover basic digital camera controls and how they relate to lighting, getting the correct exposure, getting good color and composition.

Bring your favorite point and shoot or SLR digital camera and the instruction booklet. The goal of this easy workshop is to develop a basic understanding of your camera while exploring the characteristic elements of photography: light and shadow, color, and composition.

Digital, film, and smart phone photographers welcome. Recommended for adult and teens.
